New clutch installed, never had an aftermarket clutch
I have a 2006 GTO and just got a Monster 3 installed. My question is, is this normal. When I put it in gear and slowing disengage the clutch the car shakes bad then stops once I get some speed. Reverse is twice as bad. It's almost like I have FWD and it's spinning the tires. Also the clutch pedal goes about halfway to engage and if I move the pedal (seems like) 1 mm it starts to disengage.
Is this normal?

Sounds like clutch chatter to me, which is pretty normal for that type of aftermarket clutch. It should reduce significantly after you break it in, if not be completely gone by then. Very common to have happen with a brand new clutch that can actually hold power.

Yeah thats all normal with the stage 3. I just put one in my buddies gto they do chatter some when breaking in but dont disenage it slowly you are not suppoed to slip the clutch during break in. Its completly normal for it to disengage very quickly

no you have to change the way you drive give it a little gas and dump the clutch slipping the clutch during break in will significantly shorten its life. just get use to it chirping the tires alittle bit i daliy drive my car with a spec stage 4 and all you can do is dump it most clutches that handle power are usually an on/off type

as others have said normal clutch chatter. But eventually you'll find the sweet spot that = no chatter and does not chirp the tires. It took me about a month to find that spot with the puck style zoom clutch I had in my LT1. Made the car a PITA to sell too -.- everyone that test drove it thought something was horribly wrong with it... Possible reason #1 for me not putting a puck style in the formula when the time comes lol. That said most people think slipping the clutch is the only way to drive a car anymore from what I witnessed -.- You'll get use to the on/off thing.
