Did you shim the slave so that it had the right air-gap to the PP fingers? Didn't see that in your other thread.

Bleeding never takes hours. If you have a GM master and slave in and barely crack the slave (so that it's not dripping but pushing the pedal pushes fluid out,) then put a 90deg spark plug boot on it, and route a house to put the the fluid up to the reservoir, that will get rid of the air and bleed it after 5 minutes of pedal pushing, guaranteed.

You can probably pull vacuum on the mastercylinder with the cap off and have it bled in a few min.

I JUST got my clutch/hydraulic setup finished last night. I had it out and in 7 times in 13 days. If it weren't for my best friends I'd have been really screwed. Good luck man, aloha.

I can't post it all again, lol. Long story short, my brand new flywheel came out and I put my stock 83,000 mile flywheel in and it works great now. I basically replaced everything 2 times except the clutch kit. Here's a link to the whole situation if anyone wants to read it all, lol.

you said you used a new slave but the same shim. The new slave may not have the same installed height as the old one my new slave bought from tick is almost 1/4" shorter than my original slave. just saying if it's out it only takes a min to check it.

Well...im not taking it to a shop #$@ they want 500-800 to just tell me whats wrong..ahahah..

So i just ordered a new clutch from summit...ram 900 series..stg 4.....with new pressure plate and disk...with alignment tool...goin to drop my trans for the 3rd time in 2 weeks..lol....im goin to check the shim and make sure...i replaced my slave, with the same one just newer...so the shim should be the same..right?......

im taking my flywheel off..and checking it..and probably goin to resurface it....its an aluminum..so im goin to check that to make sure of no defects..warped etc...and put new pressure plate..disk...check slave..and shim....and redo all this again....if this dont help..there will be TONS of parts for sale on here lol...wish me luck

im counting on you!!! if i cant figure this crap out soon my little lq9 swapped boosted 260z might endup in the vehicles for sale forum. what scares me about what ur about to do is that i have a brand new slave, master, clutch, and flywheel all with id say about 75 miles on them...... and they have been doing this crap since pretty much day one. really hoping you can figure it out cuz with all new parts i dont even have the slightest idea what it could be, but it seems that the only thing it could still be is the trans itself and thats $$$$ i dont have.

tomarrow...or sometime this week.when i feel like goin under my car again..to drop the trans lol...im goin to check and measure my slave using the same technique as another member did on here to see if the slave i just bought is shorter than the one i had ..i have a good feeling that is my problem, but at this point i have no idea......when i measure...im goin to see if its where that other guys "sweet spot" is..somewere between .25 and .75...so like 2.25 or so...

if its any less then 2.15 or close..than i need a bigger shim...which i can just make at my machine shop..'

can someone just reasure me? lol..thanks again

I used the same shim because I took the stock GM slave out and replaced it with another stock GM slave. I didn't think there would be any variances in demensions.

I have seen as much as 1/4" of variance on the slave/bearing compressed height as well. This is why I was asking for the measurements from Rob in his thread. It isn't that common to see this but it happens and it can certainly throw a kink into proper function.

Lazy, what clutch do you have? I don't see it mentioned in this thread.
