I used too.. I was running Firestone Firehawks with 4.10 gears and a Ram 402/980 Clutch with some really fast shifting. I could also bark my 245/50/16 Nitto Drag Radials at 18-20psi. With the BFGS tho, I bark 3rd, and 4th might, but these tires don't make a real audible peeling out sound so its hard to tell. BTW: When I barked 4th it was with no cam or headers, and I could do it very consistently.
Peace,

I bark 4th every time and all i have is a spec stage 3, pro 5.0, and an slp fan switch. I am running 245/50 BFG's that are pretty worn out. So thats probably the only reason i am barkin 4th. I used to be lucky to bark 3rd with the stock clutch.

I can do it even with brand new Nito 555 (275/40-17). the clutch is the key factor. not the gear. but the gear is a cheap and fast way for most to drop ten's at the track so most do it first the latter the clutch goes so the replace it. then the notice the forth gear chip. SPEC 3 ALUMINUM, and light wieght wow fun ..I can stilll hit forth with the Ford 9" Detroit locker too.

I barked 4th when a year and a half ago in the fall when it was getting colder out (55 degrees) and had a good run through the gears. Banged 4th hard and the LOW TRAC light popped on and illuminated for a few seconds. The car had about 19k on it, so the clutch was not brand new.
Bone stock, 3.42's, Goodyear Eagle F1's.

My SS can easily rip 4th. If I cruise 1st gear to about 20-25mph and floor it; the trires break loose FAST and spin up to 6500rpm, a quick speed shift and continue to spin up to 6500rpm, shift to third still spinning and catch traction just before the 4th gear shift and get a good solid chirp in 4th. If I hammer it late in 2nd or 3rd, I can easily get bark to 4th. I have laid a small patch shifting to 3rd and 4th too. I was doint this on either my stock 275s or my 315s, but my ET Streets did hold a bit better. My Ws6 will get rubber into 4th too and the only mods it has are gutted hood baffles, exhaust cutout and used Spec stage 3 carbon clutch(from my SS). Prior to installing the Spec clutch the WS6 would rip 2nd and chirp 3rd occasionally but never 4th, it is a 2000, so it didn't even have the LS6 clutch stock. The Ws6 can do this on the stock 275s, 285 Pilots, and 275 nittos.

I never got them to bark in 4th but my dad did. I handed him the keys the day I got 4.10s installed and we took it out. The car had a few boltons and stock F1s at that time.
