how much power ls7 clutch?
Was wondering how torque (at the wheels preferably) especially can the ls7 clutch take before it starts to give? Also what are some of the quickest track times people have gotten with these?
I'm doing a h/c/i build in a full weight hardtop with a 12 bolt out back with Tick master. I really love the feel and driveability of this clutch and its fairly low miles, but if it wont hold I'd like to switch it while the engine is out. Thanks

How much power you planning on making? I'd say your probably right on the edge of what the clutch will hold. It's rated to handle the LS7's power at 505 HP/TRQ but thats also in a lighter vette chassis. I've never used that clutch myself but I'd have to guess that in an F-body it's going to be more like around 450-475 HP at the flywheel. Just my opinion though. someone who has used it may be able to get you some real proven numbers.

Bene and midevil, Power numbers/weight for either of you? I know the ratings for the z06 are kind of out the window, thats why I'm trying to find how much these have been proven to handle/when they start to fail.

My truck weigh's 4000lb w/o me. 504whp. 5.13 gears. LS7 was doing fine at the 440whp levels in my truck, but then came a bigger cam and total exhaust change.....Self adjusting pressure plate is a big pile of CRAP. I would stay away from it just because of the pressure plate.

LS7 clutch, Fidenza flywheel, 430ish hp 400ish tq, 3200ish lb car. It's holding up great. No abusive high rpm launches on stickies, though... great street DD clutch.
