Default magnum t56 swap

I am wanting to buy a built T56 to put into my 99 TA. Through reading the magnum seams like a good one. Any in put would be grate, just seeing if anyone has had a bad run in with one.

The T56 Magnum is a great trans. They are basically a modified version of the New TR6060. They can handle a LOT more horsepower than the standard T56. The major downfall with putting on in a 4th gen is the shifte placement. The Magnum shifter is 3.5" forward of the stock f-body shifter location. It will not allow you to put the shifter in 1st,3rd, 5th or reverse. We offer a Magnum with a modified F-body tail housing so you can use your existing shifter, torque arm mount and everything. Let me know if you have any more questions.

That thread was about the stock Magnum tailshaft seal. Our F-body bolt-in Magnums don't use the stock style seal. We have sold a few standard T56 Magnums but 90% of the Magnums we have sold have had the F-body/GTO tailhousing so we haven't seen that issue out of any of our units.

Wink Made in Mexico

When I picked my T-56 Magnum up in May 2010. It had a nice "Made in Mexico" tag on the housing.

Yep. All of the Tremec parts and assembled units are 100% done in Mexico now along with their warehouse. Its a real pain in the *** to get parts sometimes.
