Default Stiff pedal with Tick Master on a ls1 t56

Does anybody know what could cause this?
I just recently converted my '85 camaro from auto to manual and installed a set of 4th gen pedals. Got everything pretty much installed and when I went to press the clutch down, it was pretty stiff. I was scared to push it down any further as I might break something. I have a remote bleeder and been trying to bleed out any air.
Also I know the Tick master is adjustable so could it be something from that? The alignment of the clutch rod seems pretty straight and not crooked. Anybody have any insight from what it might be? Thanks in advance

That's the point of it, it's just how it's made. You will get use to it.

yeah, its moving a lot more fluid, so it'll be a good bit more firm. you'll get used to it.

make sure you've taken the spring out of the clutch pedal though.

Which spring on the clutch pedal? Whats the advantage of having it out?

I'm actually starting to get more movement of the pedal the more I press on it. I guess it's just something I'm not use to lol.

There is a small spring in the actual clutch pedal. If you bought the pedals used, it may already be gone. But if your pedal without the master connected wants to go from all the way up, to all the way down and no where in between, you have the spring in there.

The Tick was designed to work without it, thats the only reason you should get rid of it, it causes a dead spot in pedal travel.

You don't have to remove the pedal spring, but it is recommended by Tick. I've run it with and without, and the spring does cause a small portion of the pedal travel at the top to be dead (pushes no fluid).

I'll look at removing the spring. Can it be done with pedals already installed? And does it free up some of the stiffness?

It can definitely be done with the pedal installed, but it won't provide any relief in the stiffness department.

Its normal. Its pretty stiff when you first install it but does lighten up a bit after you run some miles through it. Just make sure you have it adjusted properly (i.e. dont run the pedal at stock height! lower it until it moves the right amount of fluid as described in tick's directions)

Itll lighten up after youve put some miles on it. Just make sure you have it adjusted right.....at stock pedal height you risk wearing out the pressure plate.

Well it seemed to solve itself lol. The pedal just got a little softer to the point where it's more bearable now. I think I had the pedal adjusted too high also. I have it barely lower then the brake pedal and feels fine. I took it out the other day for a test drive and shifted great. Oh and btw, it's a monster stage 3 clutch kit and flywheel.
