Default Twin disc clutch overkill?

I was contemplating buying a Monster stage 3 for my car since I plan on upgrading my car in the near future. I've been doing alot of research on them and haven't heard anything bad, but I think with my driving style a twin disc setup may be a better choice if i don't consider the price difference. My question is will a twin disc be too much overkill for a stock car with medium upgrades planned in the future?

While its not the same clutch, or even motor for that matter. I drive a H/C LT1 with a McLeod Twin disk on the street, and it has great manners.

^ that's why I'm considering it. Want to keep the stock clutch feel with the needed performance upgrade.

To me it was worth it, one less thing to worry about. I can throw as much power as I want at it, and for the most part don't have to worry about the clutch not being able to hold it. Obviously the Street Twin has a price premium, but it is rebuildable so more than likely it was the last clutch I'll ever buy for this car.

i plan on the same thing plus the softer pp will help keep the t56 alive longer than a way stiff plate and a single clutch. the har hit messes them up bad

I've sold mcloed and Ram twin discs on the street with fantastic luck!

Keep me in mind if you need pricing on either of those brands!

I'm currently running an RPS street twin lite carbon clutch behind a mild bolt-ons LS1 - I've been very happy with it.

The biggest drawback is the added expense.

Though I can't provide answers for every Twin available there several advantages to the kits we provide. Our Super-Twin assemblies are complete packages that provide an abundance of torque capacity and great drivability to boot. Another nice thing about our Super-Twin is that it is a rebuildable kit. Should you ever need more capacity (we offer 4 versions of this kit with varying torque ratings) or if you simply wear it out and need it to be re-freshed you can send it back for a rebuild. Pricing for this is dependent on what you need but the average cost is 50% of the original kit cost. LEt me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to assist you! Thanks!

It depends heavily on what you make power and torque wise, how you use the car, and how you plan on using the car.

Give us a call and we'll go over any other questions you may have.
