How to keep crank from spinning while tightening flywheel?
#4
just put a screwdriver in one of the outer holes on FW. For tightening use the holes on driver side, look at my pic
BTW, the pins in some of the other holes were put there by the machine shop that "neutral" balanced my FW for my 383

I suppose you could put a wooden wedge in there and knock it out when you get done if you don't have help with the flywheel tool.
Good luck bro. Looks a Little harder than the time you cleaned my Firehawk flywheel with the 3M disc huh? Zip up one side and zip down the other. LOL
How'd the rear seal install go?

Plenty of solutions in this thread. But, if you want to get one for the next time you need it. Look for a "Kent More J-42386-A" It bolts in place of the starter and locks down the FW.

Cool and thanks. I was fortunate enough to have a buddy with a few free hours come by and we just got a socket and wrench on the crack bolt to hold it still. Which is how I've always done it but I usually always have help. Having moved here not to long ago I only know a few people and they keep busy so I hate to bother them.
