Thinking of downgrading to Level 2, thoughts?
Currently my car has a Monster Level 3 clutch in it and I am starting to get sick of the infamous squealing and I have only put 1500 miles on it. If my car does not sell and I end up keeping it, I will be using it to commute. It is absolutely horrendous to drive with that clutch in traffic and makes it more stressful.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the Monster Level 2 with 420ish whp? If I do anymore work it will be heads and cam and wondering how it hold up for occasional track days with that power with maybe some E/T Streets. I dont mind if there is a little slip but if it is going to just be crap like a LS7 clutch then I am all set. I dont have a ton of money for a twin and I think that is a bit overkill for a mostly street car.

Just go beat on that thing and it will stop having the turkey gaggle in it. And the less you slip it the less it will glaze up on ya. When u hear the squeal it's just time to play some is all.To me that specific clutch is great for your power level and how heavy the car is. I am at about the same hp wise and with a good sticky tire you will regret going with a lesser clutch.

I had the same squeal, 15,000 miles on it and it still did it. It was definetely my driving style, slipping it too much. I actually just ordered a new disk, same level 3 from them. You just need to beat on it, which means 60 mph, side stepping it to break the glaze off of it. I am going to switch my driving style with my new disk.

4th gear at 60 is good but its not taking all of the glaze off. my buddy had the same issue and when he called monster the sales rep told us to "BEAT" on it by that i mean doin 35-45mph and dropping it into 4th. about 4 drops and 15 minutes the clutch was smooth as silk

The other thing I heard too is that if your car doesnt make enough power to break the glaze you are pretty much hosed according to others with this same issue but I dont want it to turn into one of those threads
