Default Spec Clutch starting to slip (I think)

Clutch has been in for 2yrs and has some miles on it with several 6k drops. Went to the track and it run 10.22 @ 136. It feel off about 5mph in the 1/8. Is it possible that the clutch can still hold the cars power/trq but can't hold the 6k drop? What it does is when i drop the clutch as soon as it transfers the weight it noises down-short shift to 2 and it seems fine. Let me kno wat u think!!!

Need more info on your car here. For starters what kind of car it is? What does the car nomally run (60ft, 1/8 etc), which spec clutch do you have, how much power your making and how much the car weighs? Its hard to help you if you just say "my car went 10.22, whats wrong?"

99 camaro, ls3, spec 3+, tick adj m/c, weighs 3420, makes 525rwhp, 505rwtq, 150 shot makes 670rwhp, 772rwtq. It feels like the clutch is sliping when i leave at the track. It usually leaves pretty hard 1.45 60ft or so. Now when i drop it @ 6k its like it takes a minute to fully release. It's like it can's hold the inital drop. Now when it leaves it no more gets the suspension loaded it lays down. It's just the inital drop is the problem. After 1st gear it seems to be fine. I will ck 60ft times tonight and post video tomorrow. (Hard to explain)

A few more details needed: Are you using a line-loc? Have you changed anything else? Are you seeing slip any other time (high-load in a high-gear on the interstate for instance)?

Nothing has changed on the car since the last time i was at the track which was a couple of weeks ago. No line lock & no not seeing really any other slip. Kinda like i said just the inital 6k drop it seems like. I will put street tires back on it tonight and go drive it and see what it does. Still siting on my trl.

Its very possible the clutch is slipping on the launch. 772 rwtq is pushing the limits of your Spec 3+. You may want to think about switching over to twin disc clutch. There are many twin disc clutchs out there but I'm sure Spec can help you out with getting you the right clutch for your setup.

Thank's, Did not get home to late last night and forgot to grab the time slips and upload the videos. I have really liked the this clutch have not had any problems with it at all up till now. Very satisfied with it. Would kinda like to stay with the 3+ if possible but im about to put the 250 shot on and don't no if the 3+ would hold it very long.
