What shifter do u have? Factory Hurst? I run Factory Hurst with UMI ShortStick and I couldn't bee happier. I've drove my buddy TA with Hurst Billet Plus and WS6Store ShortStick... Very little difference I believe. Little more notchy but positive shifts. Pro5.0 is also good. Ppl will say go MGW but I have heard 50/50 reviews about them. Good/Bad. Drive a friends car and see what you think. That's the only way. And if you dnt have a ShortStick.... Go buy one!!! WS6Store. $25 I believe it was. It night and day shifts just to have the ShortStick. Goodluck
how do you tell the diffrence between the hurst factory and the factory shifter? i have a 99 z28 and i dont think you had a option on the diffrent ones. i know the guy before me put a metal hurst *** on it but thats all i know about if its been changed or not.

Verdad Gallardo Check the RPO code on your door. BBS is Factory Hurst... Only way you will have a Hurst Billet Plus is if someone put one in... They dnt come from factory with Billet plus.. And YES! ShortStick is a Big difference... Shorter throws=quicker shifts=better times... WS6Store... Check it out. $25ish for there ShortStick. Awesome buy. Plus it's fun to drive with ShortStick. Night and Day diff.

I run a factory Hurst with a UMI short stick. I love it. I have a Pro 5.0 on the way, which should be here any minute.
Just remember, if you don't have a factory Hurst, the UMI short stick will hit the console in 2nd gear, and just touch it in 4th.

I just replace the stock Hurst with a Pro 5.0 I picked up from a member here. I actually like the Hurst better. The throws with the Pro 5.0 feel a little longer and I don't know if it's because mine is broken in, but the shifts have less effort, which I prefer a notchier and more affirmative feel.

Ive heard a few complain about the 5.0 being stiff. I think i have just factory so ill have to replace the whole shifter. Found some hurst short shift with short stick om ebay 150. Any thoughts?

I've had the Pro 5.0/LSS and the B&M on past cars. Both were great. Picked up a factory Hurst for this car a while back. Added a WS6store short stick. It works great for someone on a budget. I'll be buying a MGW when I have extra cash to blow. This works perfect for the time being.
