Tick master didn't solve my problem....Please help
I installed the tick master cylinder and called them to verify the adjustments I made to extend the pedal to brake pedal height, after having it out too far, was ok. But...I Still can't shift in high RPM's and its really pissing me off. When I first installed it, I was able to shift in high RPM's once or twice, but now its back to back to waiting til the RPM's drop low enough to engage the gear. I bled the slave completely and never let it dry up. I used synthetic DOT3 fluid. Is there a better fluid I should use? Is the slave cylinder bad? Is the clutch bad?
Please help me guys..

it's the clutch
it's probably the clutch.time and time again we see this problem and everyone thinks it's the slave.and it never is!!!!!!!!mine got worse and worse even after the drill mod and completely bleeding the system and running dot 5.1.I'd get locked out of 3rd and especially 4th after a couple of runs.Peddle gets spongy,i have to pump it to bring it back to life.Putting a diamond clutch in it soon i think that must be the fix.I'll let u all know.

Your next step is to replace the slave.. most people just do a clutch.since the trans is out anyhow.. I did the same thing. Replaced the Mc with a tick then had to do clutch.and slave because I wasn't gonna drop.the trans twice.

There are several possible causes to the issues you are having, but if your clutch is original there is a good chance the pressure plate or even a faulty pilot bearing is the problem. A faulty pilot can cause the clutch not to disengage properly at high rpms even when the clutch seems to disengage very high on the pedal during normal driving. A faulty/broken pressure plate can cause the same things.
Check the pilot to see if it is still in tact, check the fingers of the pressure plate to see that they are all level and even, and check the disk for wear. A monster clutch package will likely solve your problems.

Yeah, don't let your pilot bearing die... it cost me a new input shaft But, I did end up getting a Monster clutch and a Tick M/C out of the deal.
On the subject of pilot bearings, how do you sponsors feel about bronze or teflon pilot bushings? I'm suspecting my replacement pilot bearing to be bad again and I'm wondering if one of those options would be more reliable than another needle bearing unit.

Hey your situation is identical to what mind was when I started having problems and it is your clutch. Here it is two years later and I've tried so many clutches that I will make this very simple call Steve at Monster. Everytime I've added power to my car I also upgrade my clutch with one of theres. So for I've tried the level 3,4,5 and recently purchased a 11 inch racing clutch package and my built 416 stroker with a 250 shot loves the hell out of it!! Just tell steve what you have and what you intend to do he will take care of you. Also they are the only company that will cover there product for a full year!
