Default Turbo clutch options?

hows it goings guys, well i have been looking around for clutches cause my wimpy stock clutch is dying along with the transmission due the the horses im pushing (480rwhp atm) and transmission is getting taken care off my problem is i need a badass clutch but at a great price cause im a college student and cant afford around grand in a clutch. i need the works! flywheel, slave, clutch kit with pressure plate and all! i was considering a ls7 clutch but im planning on putting a single turbo on the car and turning into my weekend toy instead of my daily (gas is killing me) but i will take it to the track a few times but its not gonna be mainly a track car. i dont know if the ls7 will fit my needs but i have a few people i know that bought f1 racing clutches and are running strong with them! i have seen this kit on ebay and didnt know if it would be good cause for the money it comes with literally everything i need but i dont know how reliable it will be cause the car is expected to make 650rwhp+ but thats still a gamble. is this clutch reliable if not does anyone have any good clutches that are and are within the f1 racing price range or a little bit more?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!

LS7 wont last once you turbo it, too much torque and power in a heavier car then what it was designed for. Dont get me wrong they can take a ton of abuse just not what youll put it through. I would pony up the money for a good twin disc like Mcleod's RXT. Do it once and dont worry about it anymore.

ell if you cant really fork out a grand then that pretty much rules out a twin clutch lol i'd look into a monster stage 3 good to 700whp and its still pretty street friendly with a little chatter

I'd like to know why it's a horrible idea. Because truthfully that's the route I was going to go because my Friend is having great success with his rebuilt twin.

It's horrible because you're assuming that a) you're buying a used clutch that is worth a damn and b) you're assuming that whatever is wrong with said used clutch can actually be covered under a rebuild.

If you don't want to buy our stuff then it's your call, but it's a horrible idea to bank on a used clutch.

As far as the OP, he's looking at Ebay F1 Racing stuff so he's obviously on a budget. I'm going to recommend one of our units because he's going to get a complete package that will support his needs and also includes a one year warranty - regardless of how he drives it.

Hopefully this clears it up, I apologize for not being more clear with my previous statement.

I see, now moving on. I like your twin clutches I just saw a thread and I like the 2 year warranty with your product. Looks like I'm going to try your twin stage 2 after I get stuff sorted out.

Ive an ACT twin in my car, and have used the single plates on some Subarus. They do make pretty good clutches, wouldnt have any hesitation recommending one.

I opted for the twin organic though. It truly does drive like stock, just a heavier pedal.
