Default How many of you run a aftermarket bell housing?

I'm in a delimma here.
Customer ordered a bell housing (quicktime)from Texas Drivetrain Spec. Months ago, they gave us a bell for a SBC not. LS1. NO BIG DEAL
Jason was more than willing to get us the proper one for an ls1.
Going on 3 weeks now DAMN!!!!!!
So with all that being said.
How many of you guys feel the neccasity of running a "blow proof" bell on a 6spd street driven 408?
Thanks
Ed

If you are spending all that money on an engine and related parts, why not run a good bell housing. Quicktime usually ships out within 24 hours of ordering a product.

Standard bellhousing is around $220..... Quicktime is $300 more approx.

Are your legs/feet worth $300 in the event of a clutch failure?

I have a Quicktime BH behind my '69 Chevelle 5.3 turbo project as I want to launch at 6,000rpm and let it rip on sticky tires.

Quicktime Bellhousing here. After seeing the "Death of a Trans Am" video the addition of a blowproof housing was academic during the clutch swap.

I have a QuickTime bell. The car and yourself are worth more then the $500 you spend.

I have a Mcleod, but it was a pain in the *** to install. I had to grind a ton of metal off the driver side starter hole.

No comparison between a McLeod and a Quicktime product.

Yeah, I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It works, but it was too much effort for what it costs. I would have returned it and gotten a Quicktime, but I needed it in and done.
