TDP or Tick would be my choices. Both companies are stand up folks.

I was being facetious. You can build your own from the thread of mine linked in my signature...

Most of the sponsors will push you towards the T56 magnum conversion if you're bending viper shafts, as the profit margins' much higher..

I'd like to know how you bent a 30 spline shaft? I'm still on the stock 27 spline mainshaft and I've gone 1.37 60ft and my car isn't exactly light at 3820lbs race weight.

Yea idk , i have had alot of issues with this tranmission ,from what im reading the t56 should take what im throwing at it ,550 ft lbs of torque,

the first time i broke it, it dry hooked coming off the line and broke the output shaft ,and busted the extension housing on M/T drag radials , went with the viper upgrade hoping to not have any more problems, but last august when i put it in it was not long until i started chasing a vibration, of course the last thing i checked was the main shaft and it had 0.024 of round out. not sure whats going on but i have had this t56 down way too much. end play / preloads where good main shaft was 0.044, counter shaft was 0.036 and extension was 0.050, the 5/6 driven gear was replaced and the yoke takes full advantage of all the bushing and all the splines on the shaft.

only thing i can think of is my car was dry hooking a lot on the drag radials, where i didnt have a launch controller , i was trying to get out of the hole with little wheel spin, launching on 150 shot ,

I really dont know , is there any way the shaft was like that when i put it in , could it have been dropped ?

At first i chucked everything up to having solid mounts, until i rode in one that was also on solid mounts , i knew then mine should have been smoother , it was not too noticable at low speed or even 1-4th gear but at 55,60 mph when every thing gets up to speed, it showed up, acted just like the 5/6 driven gear was loose on the main shaft, i went ahead and replaced it anyway ,I chucked the input shaft in a lathe and it was straight,

any way the last thing i checked was the main shaft and there it was 0.024 of round out, one thing for sure im chucking the main shaft when i get my new one in , DANG IT
