Yup. That's all it causes. If the ses light is already lit... why not.

Reverse lockout is on passenger's side. CAGS is on driver's side.

Do a search. I put a resistor on the connecter and no light and all is good. I can shift to 2nd while the skipshift light is on. You might be able to do the same with the other 'light' problems. I did on other issues.

What are the benefits of wiring the 2.2 ohm resistor into the plug versus removing the wires from the EMC connector?
I don't care about lights - I haven't got any to be lit! I don't want the ECM throwing some code that makes it cry, though...

Robin It just throws a code, and sets a light, you won't see it, but I may be able to delete all that stuff in your ECU anyways - you have a 2002 right?

Hello, Steve...

I meant to ask you - does having the gearbox in a right hand drive car make the dreaded 3-2 shift less of an issue, since you are naturally pulling to the right?

Robin. I got rid of the GM "mushy shift" gearstick, and replaced it with a solid shifter.

After that I have not had any gearshift issues, I have had to put a forward kink in the shifter though, just to get the shifter into a good location for me.

I also think I have deleted the CAGS stuff from my ECU, so I have a spare CAGS delete connector

Do you have any photos of the shifter? Is this a replacement that involves more than undoing the two bolts on top of the gearstick?

Can I not cut down and thread the original shifter then?
I think even I could manage to bolt one of those on!!

you can, but you still have that rubber part on the shifter which gives a "mushy" feel to the shift
