Rsg magnum or liberty magnum?

Rsg magnum or liberty magnum?
I've been doing some research on upgraded magnums that
Can handle 850-1000rw horsepower. I've narrowed it down to
Liberty and rsg. Liberty does cf blocker rings, bronze pads
And cryo treating/ polishing to the gears and shafts.
Rsg does carbon bronze blocker rings and different plastic pads
But the replace the gearset with a 9310 alloy set.
Both cost around 4500$ I called tremec to find out what the stock
Alloy is used and they won't tell me.
Car is 1st gen camaro 5.3 with twin 60's 99% street car.
So which one is better for my set up?

Our Level 7 T56 Magnum is $4,795.00. Our prices are comparable to anyone in the industry but you will have a hard time finding a comparable level of customer service that you will get here with us at RPM.

What did you decide?
Nobody can dispute that in the manual trans drag racing world Liberty's is & has been on top for a long, long time.
Liberty probably has the best price because the can do most everything in house & when they send things out they do it in volume & locally.
A few years ago I took my T56 to Liberty's, sure took their time but I wasn't in a hurry & didn't really push them which probably wouldn't have done any good since there's always a lot of their pros stock transmissions getting done.

I think I'm going with rockland standard gear. It's built with a 9310 alloy gearset and all of the shift improveing mods are included with the price. Which is around 4600$. Every body else treats the factory gears with heat treating/cryo.

So are u saying they don't make the gearset from a different material? Cus I was told by them they use a 9310 alloy instead of the stock so that would lead me to believe it was custom made/machined.

Do the RSG T56's not use a different gearset ? Maybe that's where the confusion lies ?
When I contacted Tremec ages ago about their F-Body Magnum which never appeared, they said Cryo treating was not recommended on the Magnum gears.
Is there a dog engagement option for the Magnum yet ? RSG site mentions about a possible dog option although think it's for their Tranzilla...but no info.

Do not use rockland standard gear. I had a t56 magnum that lasted 3 weeks with 600 miles and grenaded. They have a 1 year warranty and would not warranty it. Personally went to the shop and was om the phone with different people all claiming to be the owner of rsg then i finally got a hold of george who is rsg owner and he is a real dick to say the least. Got my magnum back from them in a crate. The remaining good parts of mine will be going to tick or rpm for a proper t56 magnum with great customer service and a warranty that actually means something. I am not the only one this has happend to. Over on the corvette forum a few people have had problems with their warranties. They accuse you of everything else being the problem

Of note- I'm running a completely stock T56 Magnum (2.66 ratio) making 1000-1200rwhp behind an 88mm turbo 6.2 liter without issues. I don't launch hard nor do I powershift.
9.35@163mph best so far. 1.59 60', 6.268sec/128mph 1/8th
On 14psi it made 1060rwhp/1070rwtq. I've had it up to 22psi in 5th gear without issue. At that powerlevel (not dyno'd) it pulls crazy hard.
The car is a 100% street car that mainly is used for 1/2 mile racing where you need 5th gear. It does nearly 175mph in 4th.

I need to clear up my previous post. I was wrong about the gearsets that Rockland Standard gear uses in their HD2.66 T56 Magnum transmissions. They are using a 9310 gearset that is produced by Tremec. I was not aware that the Viper TR6060 used 9310 gears. My ignorance got the better of me in this case.

The T56 Magnum is a TR6060.... it just meets the dimensions of the Fbody trans... with a 31 spline output shaft and is 2" longer approx.
If you want the big boy T56 ..... PPG offers a sequential conversion with billet internals... but that's about $20K+. So the question remains.... put 6.5 complete T56 Magnums in your toy box.... or 1 PPG billet sequential BMF.
