Clutch is in! Now to drive nicely for a few hundred miles.

It feels totally different from the McLeod Street Twin, but that is expected since it is probably half the weight.

How much did that setup weigh?

Probably under 30lbs. It is way lighter than the McLeod Street Twin, and that is 60.

Very. I can feel the motor reving faster, and so far, the clutch is nice and smooth. Break in is just about done, so I might do some WOT on-ramp fun this weekend.

Update:

After driving the car for a while, I can say that this is definitely the best clutch I have ever owned. It engages smooth, but tight (5K into 2nd feels like getting rear ended) The pedal stiffness is very comfortable (I don't remember what stock felt like), definitely lighter than the McLeod Street Twin.

Are you using the stock master or did you upgrade?

upgraded. That was in 2006, so I really don't remember what brand.

The whole kit is $750. New clutch and flywheel zero balanced, new slave cylinder, throwout bearing, and alignment tool. I decided that was a better deal than having the McLeod Street Twin rebuilt, and getting a new flywheel.

I have the Diamond Stage 2 as well and used a Luk slave. Pedal is just marginally stiffer than stock. The clutch grabs when released. Best thing is the pedal doesn't stick to the floor like my LS6 clutch.

I'm probably going to go with this same clutch. I saw a video review weighing the entire clutch assembly (flywheel, friction disk, pressure plate) and it came in at right around 41 pounds and the stock assembly was at least 10 more. Made me realize what a piece of junk the stock clutch is.

Shoot Jason (the owner) an e-mail. He will be straight with you on which clutch he recommends. Absolute best customer service of any company that I have dealt with.

I used the stock flywheel. I've heard lightweight flywheels are more difficult to drive on the street.

I've got to make a decision on that. I don't drive in traffic or anything just around back roads and not even to a track until I r&r the 10-bolt with a S60 so thinking I may try the lighter flywheel.

I have the diamond stage 2 and can just about get the car going without using any throttle. I have a 236/240 cam and an s60 with 4.10 gears. I'm sure the gears help, but the clutch isn't light enough to affect driving, very easy to drive.

I'm going with a similar size cam maybe a step smaller but something I wont leave too much power on the table but this helps knowing the clutch isn't bad to drive.
