Identify This Tube In The T56 Tranny
the tube is located in the right side of the tranny about 4 inches long and its curved, seems like some kind of hose attaches to it. is this just a vent?
also can you tell me if the torque arm mount from an A4 fits a t56???
thanks in advance

Sounds like a vent tube, and the torque arm mount is different from the auto to the T-56.

The extension line is plastic. It has a small check valve up at the top. it does just sit in the postion that you see... when the trans is installed. You could just run some hose up along the back of the engine and zip tie it up where it won't get any water in it.

If you choose to attach a shorter hose/ tube, you should have a check-valve type breather attached to the end. This will keep water out as was stated. In fact, the Viper uses a short breather tube like described.
