You will want a 31T shaft from the Ford aftermarket T56 . You will have to mod. the extension to accept the larger yoke & rear bushing. The shaft itself will need trimming for length as well. You could also go the Viper output route with the same mods required. The Viper is a 30T part (you said you wanted the strongest thats the 31T)

do you have a part number?

ill have to check my ds to see if denny's can just send me a new end or if they will have to have the driveshaft back.. i definitely want to take the time and get the beefyest thing available.

1386-171-005 is the 31T part from the 1386-000-012 aftermarket Ford T56 assembly.

is the viper shaft a stronger alloy than a stock f-body? G-force actually uses a different alloy for the mainshaft so it's probably a lot stronger than the Viper shaft and you can still use a stock splined driveshaft. I would go G-force although it is very pricey. Just do it once and pretty much never worry about it again.

i dont think the g force is a direct fit (think you have to buy their gears to use it) gonna check.

The Viper design is a 30T and is the same material( as all T56s) . The strength is simply a matter of girth. The 31T is still the max.( there are some obscure 32T shafts but will not be easily accomodated into your castings) I can't speak for the Gforce stuff 'cause I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that the G-Force mainshafts require the triple cone synchros

thats what i thought i read... so in order to put in a 700 dollar main shaft i have to buy a 1000 syncro kit.

i would tend to favor the 28sp g force since i dont have to hassle with changing the driveshaft but i'm allready over their rating as well.. and i would rather snap the cheap ones than the expensive ones!

if you want to get going again quick i have the stock mainshaft from my car in perfect condition, $100.00 shipped
i switched to the 30 spline viper output from d&d.

30T Viper Output Shaft Conversion Kit for '93-02 F-Cars (D&D Part No. BG29, Price $799)
This kit contains a shortened 30T spline Viper OPS, 17T inductor wheel w/ 30T internal spline, 30T spline Viper slip yoke and bored out F-Car extension with big bushing and seal. You do not have to shorten your driveshaft. A core charge of $250 will be added to your invoice when you place your order and will be refunded when you return your extension. Cracked or broken extensions will not be accepted for credit

no thanks i have a backup trans on the way. need to get good parts in the broke one while its apart

g force said that to use their shaft you had to buy the gear sets and synchros', meaning over 3k. (they can also do a viper upgrade to that one with their viper shaft)
