A little T56 FYI
While trying to locate someone fairly local to fix my t56 again I came across these contacts.
The national CS number for Tremec is 1 (800) 355-0086. They can refer you to a reputable shop in your area to do work.
The regional manager for Florida is Bruce Highland at 1 800 341-1699 x2451. Very helpful guy.Mark

So are you up and running again? Looking forward to seeing you out and about like old times. Good luck with the tranny, mine is going south as well... Still trying to weigh my options though...

Not yet I finally got off my *** and am going to do something about the tranny. There is a shop in Ft Lauderdale that can do the work for me fairly quickly. I going to take the tranny down to him tomorrow. He said he might be able to get to it otherwise it should be Monday. If I can arrange to hang out until then I will. Otherwise he will ship it back to me. Luckily shipping is only $40 from there. It was $100 each way to MI.
I got my clutch pulled off a few minutes ago. It doesn't look too bad, but I'm going to take it down to the clutch shop to let them take a look at it. Julio (Cartek)was right. I had adjusted the master too high thinking that my crunching second gear was due to the clutch not releasing fully, causing it to slip on launch. I was just getting it adjusted back down at Sunshine when the tranny took a dump.
It really sucks to have built on the car for 10 months waiting for this cold weather to show up only to have the car down for this long. Oh well, nobody's fault but my own .

Re: A little T56 FYI
Hey Mark, You mean nobody in the Brandon/Tampa area can fix a T56? That is sad because my tranny is on its last leg. It grinds quite frequently and doesnt shift very smooth at all. I'm gonna call a few places like Brandon Transmission or maybe ammco to see what they say about it.
