get you adjustable master cylinder from futural motorsports, I am going to order mine this week, but from what other members and threads, Allan does a hell of a job!!! I'll keep u posted about mine. Because my Ram powergrip takes only minimal pressure to slap it in gear, I dont like that at all!!!

I suggest the shim also. I have the McLeod adjustable MC and just installed a Spec V WITH the .100 shim. Now my pedal release very high and the clutch slips a little when the pedal is all the way out. To me this indicates that when the pedal is all the way out the TO bearing is hitting the slave body(bottoming out), which in turn puts a slight amount of pressure on the PP fingers which is not allowing the clutch to clamp completey, resulting in some slippage.
SOO...out comes the freakin trans again to remove the shim.
My point being, either go shimless and use an adjustable MC or use stock MC and shim it. Since you already have the shim you might can save yourself a few hundred bucks.

Well you say it was fine with your SPEC stage 3? Well i have the SPEC stage 3 and mine engages at about 4" from the floor. Was worse when it was first installed, was impossible to drive. Now after learning this clutch i can drive it, but still impossible to master. What a pain in the f'en a$$ driving this thing!!! I think im going to go with the McLeod adj. master cylinder as well. Glad to hear someone else has this same problem as me with the damn SPEC's.

thats wierd cause with my spec3 clutch i used the shim and the engagement point was too high for me...maybe an inch before it was completely let out...im wondering if this is the reasond my clutch went prematurely.
where do you want the clutch to start grabing at?? im askin in general not anyone specifically...is it near the bottom or near the top???
the stock one felt like it was perfect..right in the middle...i didnt like the spec3 at all..grabbed too high.

Too high? Thats pretty crazy, opposite of mine. The engagement point is SO CLOSE to the floor on my stage 3. I think id rather have it high then low, seems like it be a lot more driver friendly.
