Default short shifter?

whats the best short shifter out there?

how easy is it to install?

and about how much time can you drop in the 1/4 mile cuz of it?

pro 5.0 with lou's short stick is wonderful...you can get it from afterthoughts auto (one of the sponsers)

it is really easy to install

depends on if you can drive

Another vote for the Pro 5.0 W/LSS. I wouldn't expect any gains in performance other than crisper shifts and no more missing 3rd gear. Although the weight savings might be worth .00006749 in the 1/4 Very easy install. I think it's on install university , check there.

i figure the shorter shifts gotta be worth some time in the 1/4 mile, no?

Stock hurst with UMI short stick is pretty nice, and cheap.

I have a UMI short stick on my stock non-hurst shifter. The UMI feels very solid and direct while the stock one was very tall and didn't give much feel.

2 obvious answers.

1. pro5.0 with short stick.

2. factory shifter with short stick.


budget should be your limiting factor...

well, in all actuallity....probably nothing.

BUT... it will help you hit each gear quicker and more accuratly, which MAY give you a .10 but dont count on it.
