Trans help please...
Hey everyone... I have a 99 camaro z28 with 380rwhp and 365 rwtq... I took it out after letting it break in and everything... Tried powershifting and the gears were grinding in 3 and 4... Took it to a shop and had everything fixed and had the tranny built! Steel shift forks, new syncros, etc... Tried getting on it again today and its still a little un-easy going into 3rd... I stopped trying after that one time. Just curious what is going on? Maybe its cuz I have a stock shifter... maybe a pro 5.0 or B&M ripper will fix it? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

How does the pedal feel? Where is the release point, high or low?
Do you have an adjustable master. Those I found help a ton in the full throttle clutch tap & shift dept.
When rebuilt where any driven speed gears or syncro assemblies replaced? They usually are torn up.
Have you tried hitting the gears at not quite as high RPM? Get the same result?

Everything even the slightest problems were fixed... like syncros and gears, etc.
Ive tried it at lower speeds and rpms and its fine. I dont have a master because my buddies shop has 6 ls1's with all spec clutches and no master. They said its fine without it! Maybe I should check into it. What makes them so great?
Thanks for the advice so far... keep it coming!

Well for me pedal feel & release point are pretty important.
An adjustable master gives you the ability to take freeplay out of the pedal & move the release point.
What kind of clutch do you have? Sure it is not slipping a little?
Hows the clutch master fluid look?

Clutch master fluid is looking good. I have a Spec Stage 2 clutch... I have 381rwhp but I dont think the clutch is slipping... I might invest into a master cyl for it but it kinda sucks paying something like 300-400 for it! Thanks for all the help!

You can get a stocker converted to adjustable. Or make your stocker adjustable. Do a search there was posts describing how to do it. The McLeod master(CNC corp.) is the $$ expensive one, that requires periodic rebuilds but is a must if you need volume. I think you'll be impressed w/ a stock adjustable.
