I really like mine a lot. It feels so much like stock it's crazy, especially going from a Spec 3 to this! My only complaint is the squeek I get occasionaly. Usually just slipping the clutch a little and heating it up takes care of it though, but sometimes it can be embarrising taking off from a light in traffic.
It's a great clutch for me though, and I'm sticking with it.

I havent got to track my car yet. And still only got 420 or so engine hp as my turbo kit is not on the car till next year. In street driving the clutch is working pretty good. I have a few thousand miles on it now. I am running the twin disc with the ceramic /metallic discs. I did get some carbon/kevlar street discs to use from tex if don't like the other ones in daily driving. But am considering going up to triple with carbon kevlar discs since read of one gto guy that seemed to be getting slippage at 800 or something rwhp with his twin disc and the carbon/kevlar street discs. He went to triple with same street disc.
If my power was going to be under 700rwhp would have stuck with oz700. It sounds very streetable.
M pedal pressure is decent, the clutch seems to hold fine. Just that it was not that great breaking in and was not easy to drive in heavy traffic. Its better now I can deal with it. But recommend some of you guys that are looking at the twin might want to get the carbon/kevlar discs instead of standard ones. Tex was messing around testing the carbon/kevlar not sure if they are an listed option yet. They should be.

No wait. Leave a message if they don't answer, they were the only one that called me back and I was an easy sale. Just give me the clutch

Guys who is running the tex twin with over 800rwhp? And how is it holding up.Hearing some things from few places some aren't working too good at the high power levels. Realize this is way beyond the singles power level. I should maybe have just got the triple and still might.

Go over to the C5 F/I section of corvetteforum.com There are quite a few guys running over 800rwhp with the twin. ECS rarely builds anything under 750rwhp. 100% of all of their clutch installs are the Tex clutches. They reccomend anything over 700rwhp go with the twin.

Just passed 15K miles on mine...to include around 50+ track passes. It's an OZ700 w/ balanced iron flywheel. Putting around 500RWHP though it too. No probs yet

I've decided to get one but i'm not able to get a straight answer from anyone as to what the differences are in the x and z-grip. Or the difference in the aluminum and steel flywheels. Hate to jack the thread with this and please don't tell me to do a search because I have without clear results. Someone please pm me with answers to these questions if you would. Also, i'm in Baghdad so I can't call and talk to BYUNSPEED or other sponsors if you're wondering why I haven't done that.
