Just went out this weekend and did 3 dumps at 6k plus on ET Drags, and it held up just fine. Have a total of around 3k street miles, and probably about 20 passes on it since I put it in July of '05.

I have to have made over 100 passes on this clutch between street racing and track racing. Each launch is a 6k plus drop on slicks with a hard hook. So far no complaints with this clutch, it has held everything I've tossed at it.

Estimated power output 400rwhp/380lb/ft on motor. Sometimes this car see's n2o as well.

Newest update, around 175 passes, and now am spraying a 235rwhp shot in dual stg, 550rwhp and 636tq. last weekend I even upped shot to 250rwhp for a couple runs, holds like a ****, still. 5000/6000 clutch dumps on 17' ET streets. New time in my sig. Great clutch, I an't see trying any other.

Tex just held up to 7 passes, admittedly only 1.7x 60ft times....but all low 10 sec 148mph runs.

Best was 10.04 @ 148.4mph

800 mile round trip, plus racing, and the OZ700 performed faultlessly. I'd probably have some 50-60 passes on it now, and 4000+ road miles.

Ok update on my Tex. Had it for about 20k miles. Have the trans out and its almost time to replace it. I posted pics in another thread. It has maybe 2-3k miles left on it but will be replaced just for the fact the trans it out right now. It was a good feeling clutch that never seemd to slip. Help up to my powe levels and didnt complaint to much about it.

I am how ever going with a different one this time. Looking for a comparison and to see if I can get longer use. I have no complaints about the Tex.

This is a very helpful thread for guys like me looking for a clutch...I talked to Mike @Icon Autosports yesterday. I'm getting the OZ700 Textralia w/steel billet flywheel and adding a hardened output shaft at the same time. Hopefully will get it installed in a week or so....I can't wait to take it to the track and not have to worry about it.

This looks like a good clutch with mostly positive feedback and a company with outstanding customer service.

Yep, got mine from Byunspeed as well. I have about 11-12k miles on my TEXtralia OZ700 and it's been great! I have used it with bolt-ons, heads/cam, and heads/cam/N2O. Took all I threw at it

What is the advantage to the hardened output shaft and if you don't mind, how much does this cost?

Ok, have the Mcleod Twin disk in there now and I have to say I like the feel of it better over the Tex. I had the Tex OZ700. The Mcleod seems to engage smoother. I'll post up after a few thousand more miles and see where its at.

I had to vote no. Even though I do like it if it would dis-engage properly
& stop eating my transmission. See thread:

I'm pleased with mine so far!
I have around 300 miles on it.

Its been running like a champ since day one. Many WOT runs with it and its doing what I want it to do - and thats grip

I still have some chatter when I engage the clutch but its NOTHING like my old RAM Powergrip HD.

I highly recommend this clutch to anyone. It really drives that good! Just hope it lasts!

I am about to order this clutch this morning for my 400 rwhp Z. I will have about 80 break-in miles before it sees it's first 4,000 rpm dump on ET Streets.

Anyone see a problem with installing this clutch and driving to the strip to start running?

Well, I will report back Friday night or Saturday morning because the clutch is on the way from ByunSpeed. A big thumbs up for their prompt customer service and blunt explanation on the clutch.

I run the OZ700 in my '91 GTA.

402 LS1 putting down 485RWHP NA and over 600 RWHP on the bottle. I've probably got over 30 runs on it with my old 325/50 MT DR's dropping it at 6,000 or so and I've got about 10 runs on it with my new 28x10.50 ET drags dropping the clutch at 6,000 to 7,000. It has held everything fine so far and drives just like a stock clutch... almost unbelievable really.

500 miles and 26 passes down the strip and I broke 3rd and 4th in my T56. So, yes, I am happy with my new clutch.
