Why the dual friction? The best Centerforce clutch for the LS1 is their new DFX.

I installed one with a fidanza flywheel about 3,000 miles and a couple autocross events ago and I've been very happy with it. I'm not drag racing, but I am launching on 315 Hoosiers.

I've never dealt with the ram, but I've been running the centerforce df for over 50k miles now. I've maybe burned out 4 times, and I've never had it at the track. I'm one of those guys that feels the need to downshift all the way down to first at stops. No noise, vibration, or chatter to speak of. The one peave I've had out of mine; Whenever I try to shift gears at high rpm, it gets a little notchy. I'm assuming the extra weights are pushing harder than my cylinder wants to hold. right now my car is at 349 ftlb & 327 hp at the wheel. Hope that helps you.

My DF has been in since '98. I haven't had single problem with over 60 12 sec runs.

It hits hard, no slip at all and just a tad heavier pedal feel than stock.

I just ordered the RAM HD so I hope it works good. I also had a LT1 stroker with a DF and it went through hell and still worked good.

Where did you guys buy your Centerforce DF? Is this a good price?

http://www.performancecenter.com/pro...lications/5.7L

I believe this place does free shipping. Do you guys think this is a good daily driver clutch? Because my car is my DD.

I had a centerforce in mine and it worked great for abour 7-8 months and then started acting funny. It would not let me shif at high rpm pulls, but daly driving was fine. turned out the weaghts on the pp were sticking. I would go with the ram instead. But I went with the spec 3 after my centerforce.

Can someone confirm the pedal firmness of the Ram HD? Is it similar to the CF? Stock? etc...

I just purchased the centerforce and installed it. So far I like it. Helps to shift quicker than stock, just a little stiffer than stock. clutch rated like 500hp.
