I had a Spec Stage III ceramic, now im currently using the Luk Pro Gold series. IMHO, this Clutch setup is a Blessing to that P.O.S Spec!!! I will never go back to Spec....I,ve heard good things about the LS7 setup.

Started off with the Centerforce dual friction...it blew with less than 50 miles on it...defective!! I have had the Spec Stage 3 for almost 2 years and it seem to be holding up quite well...mostly daily driving and a few track passes.

I am using a new clutch from Competion Clutch in Ga. I have been using he "prototypes", telling him the pros and cons and he rebuilds another for me. Right now I just out another in and it is finaly where I want it in strength, drivabilty and performance. I have about 4k on this new clutch and he is going to make them open to the public in about a month, 13 lb flywheel 100% over stock pressure plate, without the luke design and 6 puck sprung disc will be 499.99 as a kit. This stuff is awesome and this is by far the best clutch I have had in a car.

I just finished almost completely using up a Clutchnet.com clutch and I put some damm good abuse on that puppy for roughly 80K miles and she still had some left.
I'm going with a Valeo PP+clutch this time but only becuz I've spent good money elsewhere and am trying to go for a 9 inch soon, then I'm going to go for a McCleod or Ram clutch but just the clutch alone. A pressure plate is a pressure plate in my opinion so long as it's new and of a reputable brand your safe.
I'm having a hard time choosing if to resurface my steel flywheel or go for an aluminum, looks like a lot of you guys are having success with aluminum. I'm still an LT1 but I don't think it makes much difference, did you guys think the driveability got sucky after going aluminum flywheel?

There are a few ppl who've the springs have fallen out for on what I am calling a POS spec clutch, soooo many that I will never run one, ppl buy it out of popularity thats all.
It's insane how an entire league of enthusiasts can continue to buy that product without banning it.
