Based only on my experiece with my current clutch:
for the love of god and all that's good in humanity, don't get the Ram powergrip HD if you have to drive around town...if you get one, go ahead and replace your drivetrain because it's just going to vibrate everything apart.
If I had to do it again (which i will surely) I would get the ls7 deal

I was coming from the stock clutch and I could feel the power the RPS added because of the lightweight flywheel/pressure plate.

My Spec Stage 3 appears to be shot after only 10k miles or so (1.5 yrs later) and only street driven. While I dont baby the clutch I also dont drive it too hard. I thought this clutch would last longer 
I think I'm going to go with the LS6 one next

I spoke with Don from Mcleod today, they received my clutch and agreed it was anihilated, lol.
He said worst case scenario it would be 300 bucks to rebuild it, however I think he may agree with me that the little amount of use it got out of it along with the lower power levels it was running should be enough to convince them that it should be covered.
He also did mention they are starting to use a different material in the newer pads that the viper guys are using, rated to 1600 hp, however that would be a 400 dollar upgrade.
I should hopefully hear from him today or tommorow regarding the out come, so I will keep you posted in this thread (and maybe the FI forums too).

My T/a is a 2001. I've read somewhere on here that the 98-01 came with the LS1 clutch while some of the 2001 ALSO came with the LS6 clutch.
Someone put on here that a way to check to see which clutch you have is to
look under the trans resevior cap and if it says 00 then its an LS1 clutch. An 01 would have been an LS 6 clutch. Is this true??

Spec said it would hold my 422 stroker 530rwhp 530tq, with a 200 shot 750 rwhp 900tq.
Well guess what, it slipped.
I installed it in April and it held for a while.
No track launches, street only.
The other night I rebuilt my TNT solenoids and heated a new 15lbs. bottle.
I hit it on a 3rd gear roll and goodbye.
Phuc am I tired of changing clutches.
I love driving a stick but it looks like I'll be going Auto soon.
I'm tired of the constant failures.
