Well guess what, it slipped.
I installed it in April and it held for a while.
No track launches, street only.
The other night I rebuilt my TNT solenoids and heated a new 15lbs. bottle.
I hit it on a 3rd gear roll and goodbye.
Phuc am I tired of changing clutches.
I love driving a stick but it looks like I'll be going Auto soon.
I'm tired of the constant failures.
the 900tq hit is what did ya in , spec 5 might hold it but probbly better off with there new dual disc setup

I have a SPEC 2 and its great. Chatters a little but its not that noticeable. Ive had it for about 3500 miles and no problems. Ive only got one 1/4 mile run on it but ive beat the hell out of it on the street. (doughnuts, burnouts ) The only SPEC clutches that i really hear about crapping out are the SPEC 3s.

Thats what I ran for 600 miles and then it took a sh**...just wasn't up to the task. I just drove home after replacing head studs/gaskets and installing the new Textralia Dual Disc...All I can say is this clutch set up is by far the best "stock" feeling clutch I've had in the car since 2000. Unbelievable how the clutch pedal feels and the engagement is perfect! And this is the dual disc I can imagine what their single disc feels like.

Textralia has definately hit a gold mine with their set ups. Only wish I had tried them sooner...After a few break in miles I'll let eveyone know just how good it actually is...couldn't be happier!

I have the Textralia Exo-Skel... Love it!

They do a triple too;

A friend of mine has one of these holding over 1,200 rwhp!

So my spec 3 just lost a spring, which in turn destroyed the pressure plate and flywheel. I replaced it with stock ls2 flywheel and a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, hopefully i wont have any problems. Car has 369hp to the wheels on a 12bolt Eaton Posi with 4.30 gears.

could you tell me what the single disc is rated up to. im trying to find a reasonable clutch assy for my setup approx 700+ hp/tq car is not a strictly drag set if at all. just want to make sure what i get is up to par. no i wont be doing any 4000+ rpm dumps.

I ran a spec S4i for easily 200 passes on slicks launching at 5500-6500rpm. Never had a problem with it at all.

I have the LS6 clutch at the moment, but it is on it's last leg (~40k on it). I will be changing to the LS7 clutch shortly because I can get the parts at cost and it will hold more power.

I originally said Spec on this poll but have since switched to LS7. I love it compared to the Spec, which only lasted me 18K.
