Default Clutch: Ram vs. Ram HD ????

My current spec 3 is coming out sometime this week cuz it is slipping horribly , so I am trying to decide between the Ram Powergrip clutch or the Ram Powergrip HD. My car should be making right around 400rwhp and its my daily driver. I have no plans on running it at the track so I wont be doing any clutch dumps over 3,500 rpm at the most. I dont beat on the car too much but I do drive aggressively sometimes just like everyone else.

My main concern is whether or not the Powergrip HD will be good for daily driving? Also which one should last longer?

My HD drives just fine. But, I do have gears and it does chatter; it just doesn't chatter horibly. I can take off without it chattering if I want.

How does having gears make the clutch drive smoother?

Is chatter like a ee-ee-errr sound? My spec 3 does that almost everytime I take off in 1st gear.

The more gear you have, the less the clutch has to slip in order to get you going. Chatter is when you are trying to slip the clutch, but it wants to grab. The entire car will shake. If you had chatter, you would know it.

I have a Ram HD in my car and it is f$cked after 8000 miles. I do not have it out yet but it slips so bad I cannot drive it anymore. I have 420rwhp and 315 nittos. After I put on the nittos it lasted 780 miles. Next up will be a spec 3 plus.

The Ram Hd chattered so bad that it sucked to drive around town, I am not very inpressed with it that is for sure.

That sucks dude, I changed my mind completely about going with any kinda of Ram... looks like the LS7/LS2 combo is in my future I just hope it'll last with some street abuse
