Default Rebuilding a T-56

Heres the deal.

I am going to rebuild my T-56...

Does T-56 rebuilds just sell parts? if not who does ad who has the best deals?

Im going to do the rebuilding myself, I dont want anyone else to do it.

I have a manual trans class and need credit and want it to get done in 1 day as well.

Here are my questions:

-Who sells T-56 parts
-what should I replace?
Just synchros and a 3rd as well as 4th gear set and shift linkages?
or should I buy more... The reason Im saying this is . I alreayd need a 3rd gear synchro, and I have under 350 WHP... I plan on having 450 WHP - 500 WHP within the next year.

So what should I get.. the reason why I need to know now is because, if I take my trans apart that day and then figure out what I need to order. I wont get parts in time and my car is a Daily driver. I need it everyday. My class meets once a week.

So I kind of need to know what would be a good choice to buy and who seels them and if I should use carbon synchros, a hardened input shaft, etc.

Thanks in advance.

They should be able to sell you just the parts. PM Amber and tell her all the problems with the trans and what kind of power you want it to hold and she should hook you up.

We do stock the full line of T56 parts. I usually tell customer to replace the following:

1/2 Slider- $115
3/4 Slider- $115
Billet 3/4 Keys- $75
Steel 3/4 Fork- $39
Bronze 1-4 Fork Pads- $60
Carbon Blocker Rings- $169
2nd Gear- $129

The 02 and older have the old style 2nd gears with the weaker synchro teeth. In all of our rebuilds we replace that due to the fact we know it will break. It is just a matter of time. We accept all credit cards and offer Free Ground shipping on parts. Just give me a call or PM me if you need more information.

Thanks,
Amber

Do you offer Billet Keys for 1-2?Or is there no benefit to using them on these gears in a street/strip abused T56?

I do have the 1/2 keys but for a street strip I really don't think you need it. They are more expensive so I don't think you would need them.

Thanks,
Amber

Its not going to be pretty... Im halfway through mine right now waiting on some parts. Youll definatley want a press. The 3-4 syncro must be pressed on.
