Hey all,
I am searching for some detailed dimensioned pictures of the T56 transmission. I am trying to make an adapter to fit to another engine and would appreciate some dimensions to the front of the T56 mainly the location of the bolts.
thanks Barry

Unfortunatly no, I am talking detailed like design intent of what they used to actually make it. I contacted tremec sometime back and they said that since the CAD files are propriatary (sp?) that they can not release those to the genral public. Oddly enough I was told I would recieve some dimensioned specs of it (still no response).
What I am making is an adapter something like this:

I am adapting the T56 to a lexus V8 and I would rather get something already dimensioned rather then having to buy a T56 just for dimensioning. Get my drift?

I take it you already have the Lexus bell and know the dim you need from the RFB to the T56mounting face. If that is not set in stone, you can use the 1386-000-011 that is intended to retro-fit older GM applications. (Looks like thats what D&D was showing ).Starting with that, you could fab your Lexus bell to mate-up. I doubt you will get a "loan " of one of those plates for your layout but that may be your only way short of buying . I don't think you can get the plate separately either.

well I would rather spend <$300 on the plate then spend upwards of $1,000 for a whole transmission.
I just need to get those dimensions its starting to look like buying a tranny might be the next best option

Buying the tranny would be the best option. If you are making the plate to sell, I wouldnt feel comfortable buying somthing like this untested. If it is for you then you obviously need it
