Default Textralia Clutch Problem

I noticed once I got my Textralia single disc that it felt almost like stock. After taking it to the track and warming it up, I've been having issues with getting the car in gear? I have to use a lot of force to get it in gear and sometime reverse grinds. Has anyone else had this problem?

Was red loctite used on the pressure plate bolts? Have you tried bleeding the hydraulics again?

I used loctite. I heard from a source that this is becoming common on the Textralia's. I heard that I might need to shim the slave or buy an adjustable master?

The Textralias were designed to be used with the stock hydraulics...that was one of their selling points. I'm beginning to think that there isn't a clutch out there that is the solution to these problems...

According to Textralia, they are designed to work without a shim..and they do not want you to use an ajustable master..

I guess I need to give them a call. From what I was told, I wasn't the only one having these issues and that there are multiple people having the same problems

My car is a 2002. I'm running a brand new slave and stock master cylinder.

I just fixed a guys car with this exact same problem. The pressure plate bolts were loose. Pull the tranny and use lock tite on the bolts. Also check your slave his got beat up pretty bad so I had to replace that also

I torqued all the bolts down to spec and I even used loctite. Why does it only have a hard time going into gear when the clutch gets hot after a few hard passes? It engages fine when the car hasn't been driven hard.

It sounds to me as if you guys might need new master cyliders, I had the same issues and put a new MC in and the issue went away. Most would change both MC and slave but I just did the factory MC.

That might be the next step I take. Hopefully that fixes my problem.

I'm having a similar problem with my Textralia OZ700. The difference is mine seems to be more difficult when cold. Does your car want to start rolling with the clutch pedal just off of the floor? Mine does. I'm thinking the clutch is dragging.

When speaking with Jarrad about this from Textrilla he says that the number one issue is the way people are bleeding the system. I had the same issue and rebleed the system and put a new master cylinder in and the problem was resolved. When bleeding you need 2 people. One persone to crack the bleeder the next to push the clutch pedal to the floor the close bleeder and repeat this setp until pedal is hard also make sure you have enough fluid when doing so. If you buy a new master cylinder from the dealer it is already prebleed.
