Default Just replaced fluid in M6 now its notchy

I just replaced the factory fluid in my car which has 45k on the clock. I put in mobil 1 synthetic atf and it got real notchy. I can barely find third gear now, it shifted much better on the stock dirty stuff. Anyone else ever have these kind of results with the synthetics??

I've used Redline D4 for 3 or 4 years with good results.

I have used Redline D4 (synthetic) with good results and also GM Synchromesh fluid (get the stuff without the friction additive). Both are relatively pricey options.

I here that a lot about the Mobil 1 ATF. I use the GM Synchromesh Transmission Fluid in my car, best there is. It's $15 a quart. People seem to like that fluid a lot better, they say the transmission feels smoother. It's what we put back in all the Corvette's and they all like it better.

I used Redline D4 ATF also, and it was much better that whatever was in it before.

I use the Mobil 1 ATF. Switched out from Syncromesh. I like the feeling alot better with the Mobil 1, especially since the syncromesh is like $9 a quart at the dealership

This might be a dumb question guys, but after you drain and fill w/ new fluid do you have to bleed or is this only when you do new hydraulics/clutch install?

no bleeding involved in transmission! power steerinf you supose to have car jacked up off wheels and move wheel back and forth to get system filled with fluid!

Thanks! How many quarts of fluid does the T56 take to refill?
