Dynoed yesterday, now M6 won't go in reverse
My car has never had a problem gettting into reverse, no grinding, no sticking, no anything! So it was dynoed yesterday but here's the catch. We had to disconnect the speed sensor so the car could get the rollers up to 200mph so they could calibrate the new dyno. It hit 210mph @ 5000 RPM's in 6th.
Now, when I try to put it in reverse, I literally have to sit and fight with it for a second and it's extremely difficult to get reverse. Nothing grinds, but it feels like the gate is not there for reverse. Could I have screwed something up having it go over 165? the other 6 gears work fine.

I'll try that a hope for the best. The other thing, and I think this could be part of the problem.. I'm pretty sure he forgot to plug my speed sensor back in. The other thing I'm hoping is that maybe the trans was just really heated up from all of the constant high speed passes. Maybe it just needed to cool down. I guess we'll see.

If he didn't plug your speed sensor back in that is your problem. There is a sensor on your tranny that won't let you put the car in reverse unless you are stoped. Plug that sensor back in and you will be fine.

I agree, if the speed sensor is not back into the transmission, the reverse lockout will energize causing difficulty for the shifter to go in reverse.

I plugged the sensor in and got my speedo back. Reverse is still difficult to engage. I have to back my right leg up enough to apparently hit it just right and find reverse. I sat in the driveway and tried engaging reverse several times in hopes that maybe it would loosen up or resolve the problem, but it's still far more difficult than it was prior to dynoing. Reset the PCM?
