Oddly enough, after the drill mod, I noticed my car struggling to get into 6th gear. I engage the clutch, put it in gear, and then it pops out most of the time. I had a similar issue in 3rd years ago with a bent alum shift fork. I'm wondering is it safe to drive the car in 1-5 until I can save enough to do transmission clutch and nitrous at the same time?

I don't see why not. You can drive it without using 6th. I think its odd that 6th gear is messed up though, its not the gear you would be shifting hard into, or using often.

More than likely its an issue with the 5/6 fork and the slider assembly but could be a bad 6th gear ring . When you have it freshened up they will more than likely replace all the rings and fork inserts .
