Textralia OZ700: X grip vs. Z grip
Hey guys.
Based on what I have exp, and have read on the boards, I dont think I wanna do a Spec, or LS7 clutched, again based on how I drive and how I will be racing.
I know its pricey and thats not the issue, stock feeling, with great ability to handle the power and last more then 7k miles is where it's at.
I have used the search and Google and I cant get a def answer on what the diff of the 2 is.....
I have read the reviews on both, and really cant tell the diff, I will pm Byunspeed but I need people here to help me out.

Well I went with the z grip because I plan to add a little spray in the near future, as well as a 9'' and some slicks. I drive my car everyday, and the z grip likes to be raced, not driven. What I mean is about every 800-900 miles if you havent been to the track it squeels and you have to heat it up a little. Or a day at the track cures it, and it holds strong all day without getting spongy.
Its not a big deal, and usually cured with one good slip, but thought Id mention it. I hear the x grip is quiet and probably more than sufficient, as I have wondered if thats what I should have gotten.

thanks for the info.
I drive the car on the street mostly, I go to the track 3-10 times a year, when I race its off the limiter as much as I can. The car makes 330rwhp (est) and will make in the future around 410-430 and MAYBE spray down the road.
The other clutches just dont last and I hate doing clutch swaps.

Yea, hopefully after I stopped puking lol.
No, in all seriousness, if I blow any other clutch once, if I pruchased the same, or similar, im at the price of a tex, and I have read nothing but good reviews, so we will see.
Thanks for the input, and review info, please post it up!

I'm debating between the LS7 w/ an LS2 aluminum Fidanza flywheel or the Textralia Z700.
My car is a DD and it wont see the track too often.
Anyone have any info on the longevity of the OZ700?
Thanks.

The first 9-10k was with bolt-ons. I ran it at the track countless time. I slipped it off the line to run 12.30s with bolt-ons. The rest of the time has been with heads/cam/n2o. I took it to the track a few times and slipped it to try and save the rear. I wound up breaking it anyhow on the 1-2 shift Since then, which was a yr ago, I've pounded it on the street numerous times on juice, and it hits the tires HARD, even on the 3-4 shift It shows no signs of letting go.

I've had the z-grip, x-grip, and LS7 and definitely prefer the LS7. The z-grip used to squeal which was no good for a daily driver. I put in the x-grip and it dragged (I think chewing up my syncros). I gave up and put in an LS7 which has been flawless. I'm making 410 to the wheels with only occasional track use. For my kind of driving the LS7 has been perfect.
Good luck!

If I didnt go to the track, or really race the car the LS7 would have been my pick but a local sponsored shop has had nothing but issues when trying run them, low engagement no matter what was done, plus it cant take a HIGH rpm clutch dump, where as I am prepared for that.
