Default Grab your clutch pedal!!

I just got my clutch pedal supposedly fixed from a broken return spring, but now the pedal only comes up about 1/2 way. And I can grab it and pull it up about another 1/3 or so with my hand. Dealer denies they fixed it wrong. So what I am asking is if you grab your clutch pedal can you pull it forward??? TIA

Jeff

Sounds like they didn't replace the spring or did it wrong.

My clutch pedal return spring broke in June of 01. Nine months after receiving the car. The pedal still comes up all the way on its own. I wonder if there might be a faulty clutch pedal bushing or a worn or damaged release bearing.

OK, first off.... tell them to go punch their clown.

Second.... tell them that the vettes are having the same problem, and there is a recall coming out on them. cause I m having the same problem. And my dealer is replacing everything under warranty.
And if they have already done it.... it is covered by the 12k/12 mo warranty.

And if that don't work. Bring up the Magnusson-Moss warranty Claim. Cause I know ur car isn't stock. so unless the aftermarket products have something to do with the failure. it IS under Warranty.

HI MY NAME IS CHRIS I AM USING MY SISTERS COMPUTER. I DONT HAVE ONE AT HOME YET. I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 02 SS. WE ARE WORKING ON THE THIRD CLUTCH JOB AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 7,100 MILES ON IT. IT IS AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE WAY THAT I LAUNCHED THE CAR THE FIRST TIME AT 2,500 RPMS IT FELL APART. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS OUT OF ALLIGNMENT FROM THE FACTORY. THE SECOND TIME I LAUNCHED IT TOTALLY DIFFERENT AT 1,000 RPMS AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN IT FELL APART AT THE LINE. ANY SUGGESTIONS???????? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
