Default Ram Powergrip HD finally started slipping......

It only have 40,000 miles on it lol.

It was powershifted everyday...If the roads were dry I made at least 3 WOT powershift passes. On a particular car cruise we had earlier this summer, I seriously made over 50 WOT passes. I think I might just get the Powergrip HD rebuild.

Anyone have any experience with having their clutch rebuilt?

Also, how long did your clutch last?

My centerforce dual friction is slipping after 12k miles so I would say you got good life out of that clutch. I am now going to a soft metal puck type disc at least until I find a clutch I like.

40,000 miles of pain and then it starts slipping? I'd say thats pretty good. I'm sure 3.23's don't help the life of your clutch either.

Powershifting with 3 poeple in the car with 3.23 gears probably doesn't help much either. (way home form the titty bars about 2 months ago)

It has seen it's share of abuse... I'm honestly I'mpressed it lasted this long. I;m still driving it. Got stuck in some BAD traffic today. It was slipping and chattering pretty bad, I'm going to swap in the used HD that I have sitting in my garage and see how long it lasts now. (came out of a cam only 175shot car with 4.30's and 28" tires lol)
