Default ram clutch disk help

Ok i am in the market for a ram clutch, right now i just got boltons but i will be getting a cam and nitrous soon. i am trying to figure out which disk i need, i have pretty much ruled out the 300 series, i was thinking about the 6130 disk but i heard people have problem with these, and that there is also a new 6000 disk. i didnt know about the 900 disk it seemed like over kill and not really street able but isnt there like a 980 disk thats streetable?

The 6130 disk isn't good for nitrous usage. I think the 6130 is good up to about 450-500RWHP. Check Mike at Rapid Motorsports or even Futral Motorsports; they both carry the RAM products and are very knowledgable.

mr27

I use the 980 in my daily driver. Great clutch. Iron sintered on one side, organic on the other. Rubber in 4 gears.

What he means is he can lay rubber or chirp tires in all four gears or shifts.

The 980 is probably the second most streetable disc to the 300 series. You may get a little chatter depending on your gearing but they are working very well in mid range HP cars. I wouldn't use the 6000 or straight 900 unless you go to a RAM billet flywheel.

Very streetable clutch. Every day traffic is fine. The big difference is the clutch pedal needs a leg ( or cinder block ) to move it. I'm 5'9" 190 and have no problem; it's just stout.
