those are the extractors im using, except now its starting to round off with them. Everytime i get the extractor socket on and use some muscle itll just pop off... I had my friend holding a prybar to keep the flywheel from moving, but needless to say that wasnt perfect. I might try and pry a flathead screwdriver somewhere to keep the flywheel from moving... no idea, im so pissed off

instead of trying to hold the fly wheel why not try and if you can and get a socket to hold the crank in front of the car.

Can you cut it off with a whiz-wheel, take the flywheel off, then try to get it out with vise-grips? It may come right out once the flywheel is off.

Even if you screw up the flywheel, buying a new one sounds better than screwing up your crank.

Soak that thing with PB Blaster, then go to Home Depot and buy a YELLOW tank of Mapp gas in the plumbing isle and have at it. Take a cold chisel and as big a hammer at you can find and strike the head of the bolt tangentially in a counter-clockwise direction to try and break it loose. (Basically a hand powered impact tool) Is there any head left at all?

Maybe before doing that, if the head is still intact, but just rounded, try taking a 12 point socket just slightly smaller than the head (what is left) and drive it onto the bolt. Kinda like they do to get wheel locks off then the "key" is lost. Then give it one more try.....

For me the pilot bearing was the biggest pita in the whole job. I bought a cheap small bearing puller from Autozone, modded it to fit and welded it to a slide hammer. After heating it up and yanking on it several times I gave up on the slide hammer. It didnt even take me 5 mins to get out once I started trying to pry against the bearing puller. I used what I think is a ball joint remover?? Its basically a big chisel looking thing thats about a foot long with a wedged two prong tip. Good luck with it.

Use a slide hammer from auto zone (called a blind hole puller). You can rent them, instead of buying the one from sears.

Put the second to smallest one on the tool. Slide it in and tighten it down the rest of the way (pushing the teeth out). Then start sliding. Took at most 10 minutes. Most of that time was wasted because I started with the smallest one first and it wouldn't expand far enough.
