HELP, Lost "roll pin" while performing drill mod
I know its stupid, but i lost the roll pin (the pin that connects the steel braided line to the master cylinder).
I was punching it out and flew across the back porch and I can't find it.
I don't want to buy a new $180 master cylinder just because i lost a stupid 2 cent pin. Is there any other option? I don't know anywhere i could find anything remotely similar to this.

You should be able to buy a roll pin at any decent hardware/automotive store. Sucks not to know the size of it though... maybe someone knows or has one taken apart so they can check for you. Worst case, you can take the master cylinder with you (if you have it out on the bench).

well first off i just picked up a brand new lifetime warranty master cylinder at oreillys for 35.00 and a slave for 40.00, but if you go down there and ask to see the roll pin out of the master cylinder box, you can go back into their dorman loose hardware and match it up with one. should only cost you about $.05, but to be honest for as cheap as the master cylinder id put a brand new one in since you have the old one out. ill never go back with a used one, or a used slave. too cheap to replace now.

In all honesty I don't know. I had to buy a value pack (basically an assortment) and sort through them until i found one that fit. I can say that it is a common size, and that there were several that fit. Best thing to do is bring the master with you and test em out.
Orielly's was nice enough to open the value pack for me so that i could ensure it had the appropriate size.
