Default Shifter is lifting up

My shifter is lifting up in 1,2 and third gear when I give the car a decent amount of throttle. I have also noticed that is wiggles around quite a bit going down the road. Anyone know what is going on?

the tranny mount appears to be fine. There is a opening on one side and on the other side it looks like there was about 1/8 rubber cover. That is ripped, but would that really make a difference?

the torque arm mount is supposed to be like that. the symptoms youre describing are a broken trans mount. i went to autozone and got a polyurethane from energy suspension. they should stock that.

That shot looks like it would be an epic masterpiece of a 2ndgen, but then someone got in your way and messed it all up.

Do you have poly motor mounts? The reason I ask is I didn't notice my shifter moving up and down as much with stock mounts, but with poly mounts, it now moves a good deal more, which makes sense. Since the poly motor mounts reduce the side to side motion of the motor, the trans mount is responsible for controlling the up and down motion.

I'm going to replace my mount as soon as I finish the current garage projects.
