yea tell me about it i already ruined one caliper by grinding too much. but i made mike come over and show me the spots that actually need to be ground instead of just lookin at pictures on here. plus im gonna run 5/16 spacers on all corners. guess i got a lil carried away with the grinding lol.

yea i do believe that was why he crashed that car. But i also believe he ground the calipers so that he didn't have to use any spacers on the front or back. but i cannot confirm that for sure. Maybe he'll chime in later.

Yea i just sent out a couple pm's on some used rear calipers so i should have new ones coming if i don't like how much i have to grind. but i think im gonna give it a whirl on the other side now that i know what to do. i just did way to much on the one i already did. either way if i don't like how much i have to grind the next one i'll just put some replacements on and prolly pony up for some bogarts. but then again i hear those arn't great for the street either. so who knows.

what i did was cover the caliper with tape then put the rim on and spin it, obviosly you wont be able to do this at first but it will show you were it is hitting on the caliper, just grind those spots, tape again and repeat...i made sure mine were about 3 layers thick of duck tape and could spin freely...
yeah i know i helped a buddy do his 10" prostars with no spacers, started to see the forks come through and it still needed a little more
good luck and wear a mask that **** gets every where...

As far as calipers go, I do not recommend grinding them. Don't be a cheap ***. Either buy wheels that will fit without grinding, or buy drag brakes. I ground mine for Prostars back in '02, and I had them like that for 4 years. I put a lot of miles on my car with it being a daily driver, street racing every weekend, Power Tour long hauls, bracket racing, etc. Eventually, they failed do to constant abuse and them being weakened by the grinding. There was no warning. I went to stop, and the pedal just went to the floor and there was no pressure in the system. It sucks. I lost my first love because of it.
