Hey everyone. Erik here from Masport Speed Shop all the way south in Boca Raton, FL.

I need a favor, and I am willing to compensate for your time here ($$ of course)

I am in the process of purchasing a 65 Skylark that is for sale in IA. I am unable to fly out there in person to check it out, so I figured I would pop in and ask and see if someone would be interested in going and looking at the car for me. I am still trying to figure out where exactly the seller lives. I am sure he would want to meet at a public location as opposed to his home, but I will leave that up to him to decide.

As I said before, I will compensate you FULLY for your time and gas.

Anyone think they may be able to help? As soon as I learn where he wants to meet exactly, I will add it into this thread.

I make a run to macomb, IL all the time, which would be an hours away or so from parts of iowa, don't mind making a day trip, etc if it was needed. Can't tell much unless he lets a shop put it on a lift to check it out of course

hey boss, i realize you may not have a lift at the time of inspection- that is ok. I will provide a detailed list of things I need to have you touch, see, and hear...getting on hands and knees will ne minimal, lol!

Car is in Marshalltown, IA. He said about 40 minutes outside of Des Moines.

I am offering $100 to the first person who can get out there to check it out.

Also, I will provide a DETAILED list of things I need you to check out, that way your mission is clear, LOL.

I prefer someone who has experience with cars (more than reading JEGS once a month), especially older cars with racing type suspension, motors, trannys, ETC.

and i'd be taking my father with me who's from that whole generation...just bought a 66 nova ss...used to build street rods...is a car show judge for many car shows in the area...so if i don't know he'd DEFINITELY know what he's looking at
