Looking at doing an 8-point cage in the next month and need suggestions for anyone near chicago who is fair on price.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. 850 installed at burkhart?

Thats the winner so far. Even though my car is no where near driving condition. I'd probably have to trailer it where ever I decide to go.

I know a local guy close to me in palatine so I'll have to see what his rates are before I pull the trigger.

Thanks again,

~Jim~

I can see why it would cost a fortune if you went some place with a full interior car. I just removed the final pieces today and that black mat up front was a PITA!

Luckily for me my car is completley bare.

Thanks for your help guys,

~Jim~

The hourly rate for interior removal is 60.00. We do work on verts as well.

The 850.00 is for an installed 8 point roll bar with the interior somewhat out. Sice it is a roll bar we can do it with the dash in.

Our 10 point cage starts at 2400.00 and can leave the shop with a cert sticker. almost all of our cars leave certed. we have very few people that don't want that done.

60 an hour is worth it when it comes to the dash hahaha. That was a huge pain on my 96.

Now third gens.... get rid if a few not really needed screws... well a lot, move a thing or two and you will have the screws in the dash pad and 4 nut holding the dash in!

Only beef I have with chassis shops is when you are paying them to remove/install an interior or glass and they tell you that if it breaks YOU have to pay for it.

HUH????????????? If YOU broke say my windsheild removing it or carrying it whatever then why should I the paying customer have to pay for it???

The guys I took my last car to broke the dash pad and then could not get my car started and I had to trouble shoot it. Come to find out they did not know what VATS was.... and did not plug the harness in.

Sorry for the off topic post.
