Hey Nate,
When I do these types of things back home with a Miata club, everyone brings walkie-talkies. Usually at least the last car and first car have one and it helps keep everyone together. I have a pair at home that I'll bring back this weekend with the car.

honesty if we do get 20+ cars to cruise i think getting the cops to escort us around until we get out of town wouldnt be a bad idea. Idk if they'd be up for it but it's not like we'd be doing anything stupid in town either....at least for me cuz its way to crowded and too many kids walking across the road to be stupid and show off. I dont think well have any problem at the start because there isnt too many lights going north on 52. And if we do get cut off at a light you can just pull over and wait. But I can definitely see problems when we come back into town. I know some of you think it'd be bad for the cop ws6 to come but think about it. If the cops are willing to escort us through town. And they see that we enjoy our cars and its our passion and we aren't being stupid maybe next time they see us going a lil too fast they might just give you a warning....just food for thought

ahh okay i wasnt sure if it would cost for them to escort us or not but i just talked to someone and he said even if they do charge it shouldnt be very much at all. I mean if everyone is fine w/ it we could always call them

I think we'll be ok. Again if we just try to time the lights by speed, and anticipate the red lights. My brother is an officer for LPD. He knows what we have going on. However he's going to be out of town or he'd be riding shotgun... I could ask him his thoughts though. I honestly think we'll be fine. It'd just be nice to have a good form of open communication while driving.

No cops! Like I said, I can not afford a ticket. If the cops are aware of our cruise, they will be monitoring us. And rest assured, one out of the 20 expected cars will surely drop the hammer.

I'm sure most of the cars will go WOT but not around campus or town....if you read a couple posts above some cops already know about whats going on. There is nothing illegal about having a organized cruise....if you dont have the maturity to know when to be responsible and go the speed limit then maybe you shouldnt come on the cruise with us. Seriously I've had my share of tickets. Some I deserve some I didn't but if you cant deal with the cops then you have the wrong hobby.

Nobody get your panties in a bundle. 1 cop knows. MY BROTHER. Not like he's gonna have the whole city wait around to ****** us for improper use of a turn signal. In all honesty they have better things to do. We are all gonna have a good time, and no need to worry about cops unless you create a reason to worry. Let's get out, drive our cars, enjoy the sights, listen to the sounds and have a great time...

Hey guys,
I'll be able to come on the cruise after all. Also, you guys might get to see us testing our FSAE car in the Ross Ade lot before the cruise. And no, its not one of those Grand Prix gocarts.

But as Kyle said I'll be coming along with my camera and hope to get some good pictures. I wish I could bring my car down but it's about 150 miles away and I don't have a garage to put it in down here.
