84 camaro 383 what do you think?
My buddy and I have been looking for a car that we could get to start building up a track only car. We have found alot of good deals but this seems to be the best one so far and I want your opinion. It's a 1984 Camaro with a fresh built carb 383. the guy said the motor only has like 50 miles on it but and the body only has 70k ish. the body looks really clean and so did the motor, in the pics. I called the guy and he said it ran good and everything was practically perfect on the car. I am going to go look at it tomorrow. the only thing that gets me is, he only wants $900 for it. seems alittle odd to me.. what do you guys think?

Just ran the numbers on the block and it is a 350 block thank god lol. performance RPM edelbrock intake and 600 cfm edelbrock carb. all we have to do is get rid of the junk 700r4 that's in it and get the rear end set up and we can see what she'll really do

.
Pull the plugs & take a peak. Check the hone & dome, if any. Borrow a bore-a-scope if possible.
You need to figure out a rough compression number before putting a full load on it. 50 miles for that price??
Good luck on the new toy.

We don't know yet. I guess we are just going to do what we can afford and go from there lol. I imaging what will happen is, we are going to get it to the 11's or so and then just throw little bits of money here and there until it hits tens. idk though lol.
