Anyone at US 41 Sunday.
.
I already posted a big apology on other sites. I just wanted to post here for anyone that missed it.
I was having a few issues Sunday & took a lot longer than usual. Someone complained,
so I offer an apology for any distraction or interruption I may have caused.
I know we ran like crap & asked for single runs all day. I just didn't want to hit any of you if I got loose.
Trust me, if I wasn't having so much trouble, I would have been gone, before anyone even noticed me.
Thanks to the few guys that stopped and said hi or waved. To those I caused a distraction, I'm sorry.
I wasn't trying to be a big shot. I just wanted to get the damn car down the track.
Oh yea, same as I already posted. It was not the track, it was all me. I don't want to hear I was blasting the track.
I was running 5.10's with car problems, it definitely was not the track.
I'm sure it would have held 4.70's if I could have got the car running right??
Oh yea 2, any photo's or videos, please contact me. We were too busy working to get anything.

Yea the track seemed to hook good probably cause the outlaw race the night before. We were able to low 1.10 60' and even popped off a 8.39 which is the threshhold at that track. We were about 3 spots over from ya with our supercomp. Your car is lookin bad ***. All in all is was a good day out there besides almost getting thrown out from ringin that kids neck in the neon that turned around on the track and drove back to the first turnoff.

I missed that. What an idiot. That's why I make all new guys drive down the return road,
so they don't do something stupid & kill someone.
My 60' was way off. I was only pulling 1.150-1.155?? We were trying to spin more off the line,
but was down on power. My wheel speed was less than 1/2 what it should be. I should have been high 1.00's.
I ran a few 5.10's, definitely not what I expected!!
So was I quickest & you 2nd quickest car?? You mentioned a ET threshold.
Am I expecting too much for a Sunday to run 1.00's & 7.40-.50??
I'm asking because we were wondering if we got lucky because of the USS Sat.
If that was a normal Sunday track prep or not??
Thanks for any insights, I do remember a rail next to us, but we were busy with problems
& didn't get to walk around like I usually do.

yea you know when it comes to 41 its more of a place to fart around get the delay box set up and some 1/8th mile hits especially cause theres no ambulance and my 16yr old brother drives the rail. yea the pair that went down after the kid in the neon had to move over to the other lane going thru the traps it could have been real bad if it was us or you guys, you know at the top end youd see the car and thats it you cover ground fast. i damn near pulled him out the neon in the staging lanes but the track officals if ya want to call them that stopped me. but you hittin super chevy the weekend after next? i always see you on chitown ill have to come by if i see ya out there. Oh on the 60 times at 41 it looked like your car was hoppin for the first 100 feet or so, and yes that was preety good track prep but on a normal weekend its not as good.

Huge porpoising issues all day. That's the new issue we never had before.
Reading the computer made me dizzy it was so bad!!
I did find a puddle under the drivers rear shock the next day.
So maybe I blew a valve seal. Going to take apart tonight probably.
Since the car is not right, I'll probably just watch the T/S run this w/e. I will never go back to Super Chevy.
Hated everyone I went to. Too crowded, too much hurry up & wait.
Will probably switch gears while I figure out where the puddle came from.
The tire-gear combo is still from the old Pro-Mod days. It's never going to run 213 with the baby engine.
Going through the lights a little over 7000. Way too low for the big tunnel ram-dual dominators,
so I really need to change it.

From my experiance sunday prep at 41 is USUALLY very minimal. I like to run on sundays but i don't cause the prep is rarely there. But I also run a small tire drag radial car, so im not sure if our track prep needs are the same.

I'm letting go at ~6500 rpm with a big tire. We actually need some spin, but controlled spin.
I walked out there a little bit. There was actually a lot less rocks & crap on the track than last time.
If I figure out the leak & porpoising, with the new gear it better be in the 1.00's 60'.
So I hope we get a good day if we go back.

I think I blew out a valve on one of the coilovers. Checking that tonight.
I'll get that 180 if it kills me. The gear should put me back in the 1.00's 60'.
I'll post up in a couple of weeks if we get out again.

I just thought of something from the year they opened.
All new guys had their number underlined so everyone knew to watch them closer.
If anyone knows Denny or his assistant, maybe they can suggest that.
Even broke & having issues, I would hate to play chicken at 170+ with some goofy kid coming at me??

41 might be a little slow this w/e. Just about everyone I know is going to 66 or Byron.
66 has their T/S race, 6-7 second door cars slugging it out. Byron has the IMSM stuff.
